How to light a selfie!

Nice guy! Too bad. That direct light from above produces ugly black shadows.

At home you may have a LED ring light but you sure do not run around with it. If you are out and about do not take that selfie in bright sun light those dark shadows the sun creates from above will make you look 15 years older :- (

Get out of direct light, under a sun umbrella, somewhere where the light also comes from the side. You may want to lean against a white wall or sit at a white table so the reflecting light will lighten up any shadows.
